New growing season ahead

With the rains passing, farmers are busy preparing the fields for the next growing season. So are the demo farmers of the project Onion Farming for the future: dividing the plots, selecting crops, preparing seedbeds and repairing irrigation equipment. For the next two seasons, the farmers follow a strict rotation schedule that next to onions and potatoes include vegetables like cabbage and tomato. Learning from experiences of last years, all three demo sites are being monitored frequently to mitigate any hick-ups quickly.
